The World Ring: Seeing the Whole Picture

People often say AI has a “jagged frontier”. In some tasks, it is amazing; in others, it is surprisingly dumb. Human learning looks very much the same. Most of us master only one or two fields and know almost nothing about the rest.

AI’s goal is to grow until it covers the whole circle of “tasks of a human job” to reach AGI. Humans need to fill a circle too, but a different one. Our circle is made of basic knowledge across all major fields—science, history, economics, and human nature.

I call this the World Ring.

Today, basic world knowledge matters more than ever. When you only have a few sharp points of knowledge, you are blind in the empty spaces. But when you complete the World Ring, something powerful happens. You naturally start to see how different fields connect. You begin to truly understand and see the world clearly.

Completing this ring gives you three things: clear judgment, strong intuition, and a steady inner core.

What we call “intuition” is simply seeing how basic rules work together. In an age of endless information, the World Ring acts as a filter. Every day, we face noise mixed with hidden biases and planted values. A jagged mind gets lost or tricked easily. A complete mind, however, spots what goes against the basic laws of reality. You can quickly pick out useful content, strip away the hidden biases, and keep only objective truth.

AI is trying to cover the circle of our jobs. To stay clear-headed and independent, we must complete our World Ring.
